Seventy Seventh Anniversary Dinner
Saturday, March 3, 2001 6:30 p.m.
At the new Chabot Space & Science Center

Please plan to join us once again at CSSC. We will be meeting and eating in the Dellums (west) building of CSSC where the “Planetary Landscapes” exhibits are (in Astronomy Hall). Shown here is the adjacent Transit Room and the transit telescope, which the Rachel Team installed in early January. We expect to have it open for you to see. As we cannot begin setting up the room until CSSC closes at 5 p.m., we request that a few volunteers come early to help with the setup. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and Dinner shall be at 7:00 p.m. Our speaker had not yet been confirmed by press time.

Awards presentation, door prizes, and lecture will be at about 8:30 p.m. More details next month. Please park in either the staff parking lot, or the garage, and enter via the path to Wightman Plaza.

We will be presenting the Helen Pillans Award to Jane Houston-Jones, President of the AANC and active in many other clubs around the bay.

The dinner will again be catered by Harry’s Hofbrau and will feature roast beef, turkey, ham and spinach lasagna. This dinner received rave reviews the past five years. Cost per person will again be $28.00. Make checks payable to EAS and mail as soon as possible with the form below to:
